“Allerject” Information

Fun Happy kids
From Janet, our School Nurse: The Allerject product is being voluntarily recalled due to potential suboptimal dose delivery when administered. This places children at risk for continued progression of the attack. It states that an alternate autoinjector (Epi-Pen) will be provided, free of charge, if parents drop it off at a pharmacy. Presently there are no Allerjects available on the market. If there is no replacement available and the child requires the injector, it can be used, and 911 called. Awareness of the potentially inadequate dose delivery needs to be communicated through.
