Just a few quick pieces of information for you this afternoon.
Lost & Found
A parent has volunteered to help out with collecting and sorting our collection of “Lost and Found” items.
The items will be posted on the Beachy cove Parents and Guardians Facebook page. There is an event you can join called Lost and Found. You can find it by clicking the events tab up top of the main page or go to the post about it on the main page and click the event.
Department of Education Survey Program
It’s that time of the year again for the Department of Education’s annual survey program. Learners, staff (instructional and non-instructional), and families are surveyed every winter/spring on a range of topics designed to give feedback to school administrators. We encourage your particpation by completing the survey for our school.
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week
On behalf of our teachers and staff, I extend thanks and appreciation to our School Council parent representatives for organizing a wonderful Teacher/Staff Appreciation week. The readings of poems/stories on our PA system each morning were heartwarming and the two meals and cookies were the kind that would “stick to your ribs”. None of this would have been possible without your kind financial donations. We’re thankful for your support in every week of the year but it was truly palpable during this special time. Thank you very much.
KinderGrad Photos
Kindergarten families are reminded about the KinderGrad photo session by Lifetouch on March 6, 2024 starting at 3:30pm. Each kindergarten teacher should have already sent out the specific schedule for your child.
Term II Dates
Term II report cards will be released on Friday, March 15, 2024. We will close at 11:00am on Thursday, March 21, 2024 for parent-teacher interviews. (I’ll send an e-mail to let you know when the online appointment scheduler is configured for term II.)
Easter Vacation
School closes at our normal 2:40pm time on Thursday, March 28, 2024 for our Easter vacation; we reoopen at 8:30am on April 8, 2024.
School Calendar for 2024-2025
The school calendar for 2024-2025 that contains all of the dates you need to know like opening day, closing day, and the placement of school holidays, has been posted to our school’s website. I will add the dates for PD days, concerts, and assemblies as soon as they are finalized.
There you go…you’re up to speed. Be careful on the drive home today because “Mudder Nature” believed we needed a few more centimeters of snow. Whatever, Mudder Nature! Whatever!
